From the talks of these successful and prominent peoplewe learned about the importance of devotion and hard work (from inspiring talk by Sandra 'Sandy' Magnus). Cheers to women in STEM! (stem science technology engineering and mathematics) From Dan Jackson we learned how the control systems for ISS are developed and how every engineer at NASA contributes to it. Yes, they do not USE technologies, they CREATE them. Professor Gregory Chamitoff is encouraging us, students in AMME USyd with his personal example and multiple personal talk to pursue our dream and develop new cutting edge technologies. I am honoured to work with Mr Chamitoff and ZeroRobotic mentors team, lead by Ben Morell (outstanding PhD candidate in our school) , who are innovating and looking forward to impact young school students by bringing ZeroRobotics competition to Australia this year. A special paragraph in the book of my life is devoted to MOOC (massive open online course) among which Coursera is the biggest and the most impactful. Dr Daphne Koller, who's recent talk at University of Sydney has provided us with information about such sides of Coursera as relations with institutions and people's lives, is a outstanding scientist in a field (Probabilistic Graphical Models) close to mine (Image Recognition). Her indirect impact on my life , through all the courses taken on Coursera, can be traced through my changing careers (Aerospace control systems -> IT startups-> Web design and Project management -> Aerospace Visual Navigation Systems). The links in this sequence were built by the help of MOOCs, that provide access to knowledge to everyone who is eager to learn. We are completely leaving out the side of Life Enriching learning courses I've taken there on astronomy, psychology, personal productivity etc. All that I am saying here is... Be brave. Do what you love. And we will achieve greatness by being outstanding people, scientists, collaborators, forming a community of people, living a sustainable life and inching the humanity's way into the future. Be inspired. Live inspired.
